Tourism can invite problems:


Tourism no doubt, promotes national economy. But it also posses problems. So it should be developed in a proper planned way. Otherwise it can cause serious social and ecological problems.
 Social problems:  tourism provides social problems. For example they make crowds in streets. Thamel is always full of tourist. So are new road, Bashantapur, Patan and Bhaktapur durbar squares. They wear funny clothes. They embraced or kiss each other publicly, which is against our culture. Some missionaries try to convert people’s religion others incite youth to take drugs and alcohol and go to discos and casinos. Some also involve in stealing idols and making illicit sexual affairs especially with children. Even law cannot punish them duly Thus they transmit several fatal diseases like AIDS and HIV.

Ecological problem:  On the other hand, clearing forests and agricultural land to make multi storied building and hotels causes ecological problems. It destroy valuable flora and fauna .Many rare and wild animals are endangered due to UN checked flow of tourists .The loose and bare soil leads to landslide. Factories producing garments and carpets for export or sale pollute the environment .Economically the foreign or overseas companies make more money by such industries.
 

lalitpur Durbar Square


Lalitpur durbar square is remarkable for cultural and ancient crafts, drawings and handicrafts in Nepal. The stupas, Rato MachhindraNath and other various temples built from the period of Asoka to period of malla dynasty are still adding the aesthetical beauty to this city.  The twenty-one spires of Krishna mandir are completely made of stone .Besides, its, the windows of elephant bones had the statue of yog Narendra malla, Taleju temple, stones tape and ponds etc. are the artistic works of lalitpur durbar square. It is situated in the heart of the patan city and is full of ancient palaces, temples are shrine. This durbar square consists of three main chauks or courtyard -the central mulchauk sundry chauk and keshav Narayan chauk. The sundari chauk holds in its centre. This three durbar are divided into various chauk. Among these chauk, mool chauk, malti chauk and nasal chauk are famous. These Taleju temples exit in mool chauk the mool chauk of Bhaktapur is more attractive among the mool chauk of these three cities. There is Narsingh temple in Nasal chauk, and navdurga temple in Mohan chauk.The sundhara is built in one of these chauk of all this durbars. For example there is sundhara in Manmohan chauk of hanuman dhoka.


                         



The Pashupati Nath Temple


                        The Pashupatinath temple is regarded as a very special and popular temple among the religious sites of Nepal. This temple is situated at a distance of 4 kilometer away in north east of Kathmandu.The Lichhavi king had laid Shiva ling of the temple. Thereafter, the malla king made it more beautiful and attractive by conserving it into two storied. People of different caste and religion come to this temple to worship with great respect. Likewise devotes from abroad come to worship the lord Shiva. The forest, Kailas and ghat around pashupatinath temple have made the surrounding environment attractive, beautiful and worth seeing. This temple is very important from religious point of view. It is one of the holiest spot for Hindus. Bagmati River, which is the tributary of the Holy gangjee river of India.Pashupatinath temple have four doors made of silver. All the four doors are opened on the special occasions and rest of other days it is closed. It is also listed in the world heritage list. Every year many tourists come to visit at pashupatinath temple. People go to pashupatinath temple in different occasions like maha Shiva ratri, women festival (teej).During the month of January. It is also one of the good earning sources of the country.





Annapurna conservation area


                    Annapurna conservation area project is one of the important tourist canters in hills.  It falls in Pokhara of western region. It was established in 1986A; D this is the largest projected conservation area of Nepal. This area is very rich in bio-diversity. This is one of the beautiful places to see. For example, Davis falls, Mahindra cave, phewa Lake Etc. But Annapurna conservation area is an additional attraction for tourists. It covers an area of 7629 square kilometre.It is most famous trekking destination of Nepal. According to server reports, there   are 1226 plant species, 101 species of mammal, including many rare species such as snow leopard, musk deer, tibetal argali and tibetal wolf. The Annapurna conservation area has 478 species of flowering plants. They have made it beautiful and attractive. It houses many rare species of plants and wildlife. It draws many tourists every year and makes regular incomes through entrance fees. It is managed by the government. But consults with local people on matters regarding conservation. The KMTNC has effectively implemented several development programs such as resource conservation, community development, tourism management, conservation education and extension programs etc for effective conservation of Annapurna conservation area. It has aimed to raise the living standard of people and the conservation of natural environment.





Sagarmatha National Park


This park was established in 1975 A.D. It lies in the north of khumbu region and in solukhumbu district. The total area of this park is 1148 square kilometers. The highest peak of world sagarmatha, Mt Everest and other important peak lie in this region. This park was included in the list of world heritage list in the year 2039B.S.
  The highest peak Mt. Everest and other several well known peaks such as Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumoori, are located in this park. Bhote koshi, Dudhkoshi are the major water shed of this area. The important vegetation of this park are Gobre salla, Thingre salla, hemlock fir, juniper, rhodendron etc. Flower like rhododendron increase the beauty of this park during spring season. Himalayan thar, snow leopard, musk deer, wolf, polar beer, gorals, is the important wildlife of this park. Different birds species are found in this area such as lophophorus, kaliz, snow cock, wild cock etc. This national park is supposed to be important in view of cultural heritage. This park is famous for various Buddhist monasteries. It provides education on Buddhism. It is one of the best destinations for the tourists. Trekking sites, Sherpa’s culture, wildlife and rich bio-diversity attracts tourists.





Tourism Places


. Nepal is a beautiful country with rich in its natural scene. many tourist came to visit Nepal every year . They enjoy with its natural beauty. There are different conservation area and national parks, different mountain and high hills, snowcapped peaks, the green forest, the rushing torrents, the deep gorge, the roaring falls , tranquil lakes ,the fine florets and fauna, the antique and artistic temples which attract every people. Some of the places which are famous for tourism is described as under:

Chitwan national park
          Chitwan national park is the oldest national park in Nepal. It was established in 2030B.S.This national park lies in the plain area of mid south region of inner terai. Its total area is 932square kilometers. It has been included under the list of world heritage site in 2041B.S .This national park is situated in the centre development region occupying the area of chit wan ,Persa and Makwanpur district of Narayani zone. It is the first National park of Nepal. It contains chure range Rapti valley and main region of Narayani and Riyu River. There are about 570 species of flowering plants, 30 species of large mammals, more than 400 birds’ species, 17 reptiles, and 100 fish’s species. Many endanger animals such as tigers, one horn rhino, wild elephant, stripes hyena’s sloth bears, and alligators are found here.
Many tourists visit these places and enjoy the elephant riding.






Plan for The Tourism Development


        Tourism industry is essential today; it has boosted national economy from the very beginning. But the number of tourists and their stay fluctuates due to political and other reasons. So there must be a planned development of tourism in Nepal. Visit Nepal 1998 was a great success. The authorities hope to achieve greater success during destination Nepal year 2002. Tourism has got due priority in recent plans. Government aims at preserving nature culture and ecology. In this regard, it has proposed following policies:
·        To avail the tourist of good communication services.
·        To open new trekking areas.
·        To involve private agencies in airlines
·        To free Katmandu valley from vehicular pollution.
·        To maintain ecological balance and develop income generating tourism also in dry region.
·        To show Nepalese games festivals plants and animals to the tourist to give then pleasant experience about Nepali life
·        To establish Tourism Information center at the major entry  points
·        To clear river and the streams for rafting.
·        To develop local handicrafts.
·        To arrange for good means of transport or conveys for sightseeing
·        To advertise about special lifestyles and place.
·        To show particular lifestyle and rural areas.
